Ratings:  -10 to +10
        a.  10 either way is never given because of the following
                (1) If -10 the Hare would have been lynched.
                (2) If +10 then the rater is lying.  No Hare is perfect
except for the                     rater.
        b.  0 can be ither a + or - and even a plain 0 for no reason.

Ratings are based and judged entirely on the following criteria:

A. BRIAR PATCHES
        (1) Thick                         4
        (2) Thin                          1
        (3) Large Area                    5
        (4) Combinations
            (a) 3 + 1                     9 x Size of the Thorns
            (b) 3 + 2                     6 x Size of the Thorns
        (5) Number of times thru x any of the above
        (6) No briars or thorns           -10

B. WATER
        (1) Frozen                        1
        (2) Liquid                        4
        (3) Depth or Thickness 
            (a) Very thin ice             10 (ice water underneath)
            (b) 4" or more                1 (no difficulty)
            (c) Knee deep                 2 (no difficulty)
            (d) Waste deep                3 (little effect
            (e) Armpit deep on 6' person  8 (now we're getting serious)
            (f) 8' or deeper              10 (best choice)
        (4) Multiply any of the above by the temp of water & air. MINUS
rating is best here.

C. HILLS
        (1) None                          -10
        (2) Small (2 to 8% rise)          1
        (3) Medium (9 to 20% rise)        2
        (4) Large (20 to 60% rise)        5
        (5) Shear Cliff                   10
        (6) Multiply by length, then by the number of times had to be climbed.

D. RAILROAD TRACKS
        (1) Cross them                    1
        (2) Run down/up them              3
        (3) Multiply (1) by number of times had to cross them.
        (4) Multiply (2) by the length x the # of times had to run up or
down them.
        (5) None                          -10

E. TRAFFIC
        (1) Horse & Buggy or None         -10 (too easy)
        (2) Cars                          1
        (3) 18 Wheelers                   3
        (4) Multipy by:
            (a) Sparse traffic            1
            (b) Light traffic             2
            (c) Medium traffic            3
            (d) Heavy traffic             4
            (e) Rush Hour Traffic         5
                (f) Further Multiply by
                    (A) e times any 
                    (B) The Above by:
                        1. Good Visibility  1
                        2. Poor Visibility  2
                        3. Bad Visibility   3
                        4. Further Further Multiply by:
                           a. Daylight      2
                           b. Night         10 (if no moon, otherwise by 5)

F. WEATHER
        (1) Good                            0
        (2) Fair                            0
        (3) Poor                            0

        (5) Monsoon Rain or Blizzard of     10

        (6) Multipy by:
            (a) Temperature
                1. 70 to 105                0
                2. 106 plus                 4 (damn hot)

                6. Anthing below -11        5
            (b) Winds
                1. Calm                     0
                2. 0 - 10mph                1
                3. 11 to 25 mph             2
                4. 26 to 35 mph             3
                5. 36 to 45 mph             4
                6. 46 to 70 mph (ideal)     10

G. LENGTH OF RUN
        (1) Distance
            (a) 1 to 3 miles                5
            (b) 4 to 6 miles                .5
            (c) 6 plus miles                -10 (too damn far)
        (2) Time to Run:
            (a) Multiply distance by min. of running time.  
                Largest positive number is preferred.

H. BEER STOPS
        (1) 1 to 3                          5
        (2) 4 plus                          8
        (3) Multiply by:
            (a) No Lite Beer                200
            (b) Lite Beer Only              5
            (c) Non Alcoholic Beer          -100
                (should not be allowed)
            (d) Whiskey or Other Spirits    10
            (e) Multiply the above by the amount per person avialable.
        (4) No Beer Stops:                  -200 
                (Hares should be
burned/tared/feathered/bent/spindled/mutilated and                 anything
else the Hashers would like to do to the inconsiderate SOB'S)

                D. Stopped the FRB's in their tracks   +100

SAMPLE RUN RATING:

A+B+C+D+E+F+G+H+I = +9     OR      A+B+C+D+E+F+G+H+I = -9

If the total does not equal less than +10 or more than -10 then divide by
whatever number is needed to get it there dummy.
